Act in Defense o Marriage Alert

Act now! Preserve Marriage! In business, we have catered to many same sex couples, hidden and visible, it is a business' social and civic responsibility to provide for the societal goods and needs! There is no need to create special privilege laws. Any good business will sell the products to those that are gay which they, would like to purchase as in the case of any other purchase. And the laws of the United States support my Actions. Contract Law establishes using CURRENT partnership for any ends that might be deemed necessary by the same sex Partners. Homosexual relationships are not to be codified, as many say, the SEXUAL practices of any two individuals isn't the business of government, and since this relationship is not one that is DESIGNED TO CREATE A Legacy family going forth in that family tree, it is a dead end in the function of natures GOD, the homosexual relationship doesn't merit or warrant any special classification. So, any new partnership law and especially, marriage laws need not be enacted or considered. If this bill passes it will strictly be for political expediency to curry favor of the Homosexual lobby and the fringe left who has it's own agenda. And email and show up in Annapolis. The Time is NOW! is  Please forward this to your elected reps, and if you don't live in maryland please consider sending this to our gov and senate leaders.  Thank you for your help in protecting marriage. This vote will happen very soon and from all indications they have the votes to pass this bill.  -------- Original Message --------Subject: “Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Protection Act”From: Thomas Coleman To: richard.colburn@senate.state.md.us,adelaide.eckardt@house.state.md.us,    Delegate.J.Haddaway.Riccio@house.state.md.usCC:  Marriage is the bedrock of society; as marriage and the family go, so goesthe nation. Men and women are not interchangeable parts of marriage; theyare essential elements of it. The debate over the definition of marriage isnot about preference, and it is not about discriminating against same sexcouples. Rather it is the clash of two different world views. We must standfirm and defend marriage between one man and one woman. Maryland Senate Bill 116, “Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage ProtectionAct” First, it removes the words “a man and a woman” from marriage, and replacesit with any “two people”. Second, it purports to protect religious freedom, but it does not offerfreedom of dissent to anyone. The bill only states that clergy do not haveto perform a marriage that is "in violation of the right to free exercise ofreligion”, a right already guaranteed by the First Amendment to the UnitedStates Constitution and by the Maryland Constitution. HOWEVER, the bill does not protect anyone else whose conscience is violatedby same sex marriage (such as the photographer who was sued for not takingthe wedding pictures for a same sex wedding). In Massachusetts, because gaymarriage is legal, the courts have ruled that the same sex lifestyle may betaught as valid in all grades including kindergarten, without parentalnotification or consent, or the right to opt out. I would encourage you to do all you can to stop this!!! Thomas ColemanEaston, Md

  • Hi Dave, I'm so happy to see that Restore America's Mission is speaking out on this proposed Bill and Thank You.  I have called the office of my Md. Senator, Alan Kittelman (R) and made a very sincere request that he vote against making same sex marriage legal in Maryland, making him aware that it violates our consciences and is a very important to all us, who believe marriage is between one man and one woman.  I hope sincerely that he is moved to vote against this Bill.  I emphasized that we had voted for him, stopping short of threatening not to vote for him again, should he vote for the Bill.
