Jim Rutledge for United States Senate

Less than one year from now the state, and the country for that matter, will head to the polls in the 2010 elections. In Maryland, that means all the congressional seats, state delegates and senators, the Governorship, and one MD U.S. Senate seat are up for grabs. There are several exciting candidates in the race, one such candidate is Jim Rutledge for the U.S. Senate. Assuming Jim wins the primary he will face off against the long-time incumbent, socialist leaning, and Obama supporter Barbara Mikulski.Jim spoke at the South Carroll Republican Club meeting this past Tuesday. He is a true conservative and not a RINO (republican in name only). Please visit his web site to learn more about Jim. www.rutledgeforussenate.com If you are interested in any campaign material, bumper stickers, etc. let me know.In case you are interested some other candidates are:Charles Lollar, 5th congressional district running against House Minority leader Steny Hoyer ("the destroyer"). Charles is an ex-marine, businessman, father of 4 daughters. He is one of the most charismatic speakers you'll ever hear. Check out some of his speeches on his website. His website is http://www.charleslollar.com/Ron Miller, is running for the Maryland Senate in District 27 against long-time incumbent Mike Miller. Mike Miller has been in MD politics for over 30 years, and arguably, may be the most powerful politician in the state of MD. You can learn more about Ron at http://www.teamronmiller.com On a side note, Ron is an eloquent writer. You can read his work at www.regularfolksunited.com, www.redcounty.com, or www.somd.com.Since many of you live in Congressional districts 1, 2, or 3 keep abreast of the candidates running in those districts. Of utmost importance will be the first congressional district where democrat Frank Kratovil won in 2008. Frank did vote against the health care bill, but that was a pre-arranged deal with Pelosi as she had the votes and Kratovil has been under significant pressure from his constituents on his votes, especially cap and trade. Andy Harris is running against him again (he lost in a tight race in 2008). The Democratic party pumped millions of dollars into Kratovil's 2008 campaign, and they are supporting him again for this hotly contested seat. All candidates face tough elections against long-time incumbents with the exception of Andy Harris in the 1st district against Kratovil. Miller, Lollar, and Rutledge need support from everyone that supports conservative ideals. if you are able, please go to each candidate's website and donate to their election camapaign.

  • I certainly respect your position and appreciate the comments. And I will certainly do additional research on him. Likewise, I believe Jim is a true conservative on issues including, but not limited to; pro-life (both abortion and end-of-life), pro 2nd amendment and right to carry, protecting individual liberties, protecting property rights which encompasses lower taxation, a strong military, is against amnesty for illegal immigrants and believes in secure borders, ardently believes in a strict construction interpretation of the Constitution, is against the democratic proposed take-over of health care, against cap and trade legislation, etc. Perhaps the two candidates have much in common. And, it is fair for you to list Eric's website. I'm completely for open dialogue amongst the candidates so the people have as much information as possible to form an opinion and cast a vote. Thanks again.
  • Thanks for this. I prefer Dr. Eric Wargotz, a "Reagan" conservative who stands for the core conservative principles and has a record of being able to work with everyone as county commissioner president to get good things done. He has an excellent mind, great communication skills which seem to appeal to folks regardless of background or affiliation. Smart fellow. I have heard him speak at a few meetings and on the radio. Also, the only Republican Conservative candidate in the US Senate race for 2010 who has raised "real" money and that has to say something. You all should look into this guy. Very impressive and IMHO the only true shot we have against Mikulski in the general. We all ought to get behind Dr. Wargotz. I'll list Wargotz's website to be fair: http://www.wargotzforussenate.org & http://www.wargotz.com & http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=94690742775&ref=ts
