BILL TITLE: American Clean Energy and Security Act
The US House of Representatives passed HR 2454 on Friday June 26, 2009. The 8 Republicans who voted FOR the largest tax bill ever passed by a session of Congress have 5 days to change their votes. The deadline is Wednesday, July 2, 2009.
What Can You Do To Help? It’s time for a National Phone and Fax-a-Thon! Let’s join together with other states and apply the pressure! This Action Alert is spreading across the country asking ALL States to contact the 8 Republicans urging them to change their vote before the deadline!

THE PLAN: Call AND send a fax to ALL of their offices beginning Monday ... Do not stop until Wednesday! We may not be their constituents but their vote has a profound effect on every citizen across the country! It is important to do this while their offices are open so they get the FULL effect of our message! They will need to add paper to the fax machine too so let’s keep them busy! Their constituents will be protesting in person and visiting their offices. Let’s do our part and show our support!!

Your vote on Friday to support the Waxman-Markey bill will have a negative effect on EVERY citizen of EVERY State! In addition to a significant increase in our energy costs, the price of food, furniture, clothing, and other items we use every day will rise rapidly as well. I urge you to change your vote before the 5 day deadline has expired to do so! There is time for you to protect your constituents and benefit the rest of America at the same time.
No longer will citizens across America sit by while our voices and opinions are ignored!! If you fail to change your vote, I vow to send a donation in support of your next primary opponent in order to ensure you no longer have the opportunity to negatively effect any of us again!
Do the right thing for ALL Americans and vote AGAINST HR 2454.
