Pastor Arrested For Peaceful Handouts Of
The Gospel Of John At Local Mosque
Last Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, 14 saints (including people of;: 3 senior pastors, 5 churches, 2 states) went, out of love for our Islamist neighbors, to the local mosque in Wichita, Kansas to present the One true Lord (Is. 43:10), to a people (Islamists) desperately in need of Him. We handed out packets that included the Gospel of John and the Book of Romans in English and Arabic, a DVD with testimonies of former Islamists who have come to the Lord, and a response card.
Rusty Thomas of Elijah Ministries http://www.elijahmin.com/ helped us and even spoke with the Imam.
The next day I received a phone call at home from someone named El Salim who threatened us with harm if we ever return to the Mosque. I guess the "religion" of peace and tolerance only goes one way.
Soon after we began passing out the Gospel the police arrived. As I was standing on the public sidewalk offering "a free gift" to those interested the police Captain and Bureau Commander J. Easter told me that I had to stand "over there." I responded that I was on the public sidewalk and public property offering free literature. He then told me that he had "worked the abortion clinic before" and that I had to keep walking. So I began to walk to the side. I then turned around to walk back and the moment I turned around, Easter arrested me. Unbelievably I was charged with, "Loitering and failure to disperse."

A suggested response for e-mail or phone call:
On Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, Pastor Mark E. Holick (with 13 other Christians were peaceably handing out free copies of the Gospel of John while standing on the public sidewalk and public property.) For this Pastor Holick was arrested within 60 seconds upon Captain Easter's arrival. He was charged with "loitering and failure to disperse."
We understand that sometimes mistakes are made. We respectfully ask that these charges be drooped. We ask that the City of Wichita, the Wichita police, the Wichita City Council, the Chief of police, and the Mayor of Wichita, stand up to protect the first amendment rights of freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and freedom of the Christian religion for all the citizens of Wichita, Kansas. We are sure you would agree.
"Congress shall make NO LAW... concerning you know what."
You are welcome to send one e-mail and cc the rest.
If you are able to take a moment to help us in this, I will be greatly appreciative to you.
Blessings. Pastor Mark Holick
