Hello everyone - Due to question, I need to clarify below statement. (Clarification: If this bill passes, it will also apply to all other immigrants (such as Muslims) who may apply for in-state tuition and who may not yet be legal citizens of the USA). Maryland Legislature has 1 day to go !! (SESSION ENDS MONDAY AT MIDNIGHT !) Thank you all so VERY, VERY MUCH for EVERYTHING you have done so far !! I pray that EVERYONE will continue to give 100% so that we can all know we have done EVERYTHING we can to save our CHILDREN and our STATE !! Here's one more Bill - WE STILL CAN and MUST AFFECT !! Re: Bill SB167 - re: In-State Tuition for Illegal Immigrants: (THE DREAM ACT !!) "Extending the period within which an honorably discharged veteran must present evidence to qualify for a resident tuition rate; establishing that specified individuals, including undocumented immigrants, shall be exempt from paying the out-of-state tuition rate at public institutions of higher education under specified circumstances; requiring specified individuals to provide documentation regarding Maryland income tax withholding; etc." PLEASE NOTE:(This bill has NOW been amended to make illegal aliens (and their families) exempt from paying ANY taxes to qualify for in-state tuition. (Now illegal aliens are a new protected class and WE, AMERICAN CITIZENS, WILL PAY for their college education even though they can not legally work in Maryland after they graduate!) Please Note: The only Black member of the House to vote against this bill was Delegate Emmett Burns. (Thank you Delegate Burns !!) 34 Black Delegates voted FOR this Bill. (i.e. They SOLD OUT their own people !! ) This Bill still has to have the FINAL VOTE on MONDAY !! - meaning it is NOT TOO LATE TO KILL IT !! (I acknowledge that I have been an 1 issue activist and have been TOTALLY focused on the Homosexual / Transgendered/Cross Dressing Issues. To this point, I have not paid attention to this issue - but this is EXTREMELY CRITICAL ALSO! ) (WITH GOD'S HELP), We CAN STILL KILL THIS BILL !! By flooding the phone lines and emails of every Senate member with requests for NO VOTES FROM THEIR CONSTITUENTS !!
