Subject: Reid: May have to pull Shaheen-Portman over Vitter flap 9/11/13 7:19 PM EDT Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said tonight that he may have to pull the Shaheen-Portman energy efficiency bill off the floor because Sen. David Vitter is trying to force a vote on an Obamacare-related amendment. Earlier today, Vitter brought progress on the efficiency bill to a halt when he objected to the consideration of other senators’ amendments until he received a vote on his Obamacare exchanges amendment. “We’ll work on matters to craft a way forward on this bill perhaps or we may have to take the bill down. So we’ll make that decision at a subsequent time,” Reid said on the floor. He said it’s a “shame” that senators are trying to “outmatch” the “tea party-driven House of Representatives.” Reid added that Vitter’s amendment is aimed at getting “some headlines in the newspaper.” — Andrew Restuccia The bill that Reid won't mention, is the Bill which would prevent the staffers from being exempted from Obamacare under a ruling, edict by OPM, Office of Personnel Management. It goes further and also requires Committee staff from being exempt as well! Time to pat yourselves on the Back! Thank you! For participating in the Exempt America Rally.
