Is Same-Sex marriage a civil right?

Marriage and Civil rights? > The predicate. > The Answer: No Moral wrong can ever be a civil right. > It is as simple as the mathematical truth: 0 =1 is false. > What elements create a moral wrong? > What isn't moral? It isn't moral In benefiting one group of people where by you are stealing benefit or well being from another class of people. > A family= two adults who create children. So in this case we have the Couple with the ability to create a child or group of children. So the dynamic is a couple on one hand and a child on the other. > The couple: the child/children > When we discuss this situation we must point out the obvious and The truth which is: you may not make physical violence to another human being, unless you or someone or some group are being attacked with physical violence by that same person or group of people. No one of sound mine believes that, advocates that or condones that, regardless of the manner in which it is being couched on the 5 o'clock local news. > But for those advocates of same sex marriage, those that will destroy the fabric of society you don't have to embrace their arguments or their reality of same sex marriage which will bring about the destruction of that society. Additionally, You don't condone it either. As a matter of fact, And it is moral to do so, you resist it as the anathema of a Functional society which it is. The consequences whether intended or not would be devastating on Biological terms as well as on sociological and Psychological terms. The reasons are simple. > On Biological terms it is especially simple. And for many the discussion could stop right here. The behavior would be a shunt to the continuation of the propagation of the species itself. It is a trait of all species to "go forth and multiply" that is a physical impossibility in the same sex marriage equation or paradigm. So on that element alone the argument of it being moral it fails. > > Also the psychological and sociological reasons against same-sex marriage go to the destruction of the well being of society and the individuals emotional well-being. When an individual is nurtured in a loving heterosexual family he is inculcated with the traits of a mother and a father who, they, by genetics, hormones, and learned behavior give him those traits which allow that child male and female to flourish. In the culture of mankind that was devised by nature and honed by evolution where both a man and a woman are required to create human life we have a natural order of both genders participating in the development of behavior of the person. The social interaction on all levels is developed. We remember the adage, that a child or any person will "do as i do", as well or more so than from "do as i say." Children learn by training on all levels. They see love between a man and a woman in a marriage and they emulate that behavior. We can not hide, disregard or eliminate this simple truth. Also each genders intrinsic nature is imparted into the individual allowing for proper social interactions in that male or female which will eventually create a person who in turn will be able to properly interact with a member of the opposite sex, Fall in love, and create children of their own, and thus repeating the cycle. That is what a species does, and on a thinking order of animal life a society supports. > Societally Marriage is only for the proper up-bringing of children within what we call a Family, not insignificantly a loving family. Love is a strong stimuli, and it competes with the other basic instincts of survival of the species, even the need to eat and to drink and to the fundamental element of self-preservation. Love creates a need for union, both physical proximity and emotionally through harmony of the interactions of the couple. Love creates the secondary desire to do right, support and protect one another, and the unit that it creates, the Family. One can argue or say a same sex couple has the same traits except for one major and irreconcilable difference: It does not rise to the level of Marriage, as it is not created for the purpose or benefit of creating offspring where there is known occur, and is known to be in a loving family where there is a nurturing of Children. (This lends to the argument of celibacy before marriage as well but will be addressed at a different time) The Word for children in German is Kinder. In English we have the word Kind. We work hard as parents to create kind, loving, empathetic children who understand respect for righteous authority, and respect for the rights of others. marriage is for this purpose. It is not strictly to create a societal condonation of a life style which hurts one element of the equation of the family. Where the child is relegated to insubstantial, and only the Union of the couple has merit. So it is entirely unnecessary and actually destructive to the pure and never changing purpose of the Marriage which is to create structure to the Family and the edifice upon which the perpetuation of society depend and the offspring who create and build upon that society.
