It is time for Wisdom, and the Wise to Stand Up to Restore America's Mission!
A Sentence Against Liberty: Questions for the Conscience of Humanity
The imprisonment of free speech in England—when a man is sentenced to seven years of physical incarceration for the simple act of expressing his convictions—this is not merely a legal decree against a man . It is a sentence against all mankind, those who cherish liberty, against the ideals that have shaped Western civilization, and against the moral foundation that sustains our human spirit.
In the face of such tyranny, we must ask ourselves: What shall we choose?! What shall we choose?!!
•Will we choose to stand silent as liberty is extinguished before our very eyes?
•Will we allow fear to shackle the voices that speak truth, or shall we rise in defense of those truths, no matter the cost?
Under the leadership of Sir Keir Starmer, England now suppresses the very freedoms upon which it built its greatness. Across the Atlantic, the Biden administration used its power to silence voices of dissent during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lives were lost because people were denied access to the truth—truths about therapeutics, truths about the risks recorded in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), truths that might have saved families, friends, and neighbors.
•What does it profit a government to control its people if it costs them their humanity?
•Can a society thrive when its leaders trade truth for lies and silence for compliance?
The Foundation of Civilization: Faith, Love, and Freedom
Freedom is more than a privilege; it is the cornerstone of human dignity, the bedrock of civilization, and the wellspring of progress. But as we reflect on the current state of the world, we must ask again:
•What shall we choose? What shall we choose?
•Shall we preserve the building blocks of freedom—faith, reason, and liberty—or watch as they crumble under the weight of tyranny?
Jesus Christ gave us His 11th Commandment: “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” It is this divine law that calls us to honor the dignity of each individual, to respect their right to think, believe, and speak freely. But love cannot thrive without freedom, and freedom cannot exist without truth.
Samuel Rutherford wrote in Lex, Rex: “The law hath a supremacy of constitution above the king.” Man was never meant to be a subject. Each of us is called to live as a king under God, free to pursue truth and happiness as we walk the path He has set before us.
What Shall We Choose? A Warning and a Call to Action
History warns us that the silence of good men is the harbinger of oppression. We are left with one defining question: What shall we choose?
•Shall we stand idly by as governments stifle the human spirit and extinguish the light of liberty?
•Shall we let faith wither and freedom falter, or shall we fight for the eternal truths upon which all happiness is built?
In England, in America, and across the world, the forces of suppression are growing. They seek to place man under the yoke of control, to crush dissent, and to erase the rights that have been secured by generations of sacrifice. But we are not powerless. The choice is still ours.
Conclusion: The Perennial Pursuit of Freedom
In the end, the question is not just what shall we choose, but who shall we become? Will we become a generation remembered for its courage and conviction, or one reviled for its silence and surrender?
As Locke reminded us, “The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom.” As Rutherford declared, no ruler is above the law. And as Christ taught, love is the highest commandment, and through it, we are called to serve and protect one another.
If we choose faith, freedom, and truth, we will not only preserve liberty for ourselves but secure it for all humanity. Man was never meant to be a subject. Each of us is called to live as kings and queens under God, pursuing happiness through love, purpose, and unyielding freedom.
The time is now. The choice is ours. What shall we choose? What shall we choose?
Does this capture the depth and urgency you envisioned?
