Free Market Renewal

Private Business is not just the transaction of a sale of goods and services, for the sales sake. Private Enterprise satisfies societal needs. It is fundamental to our well-being. This occurs without direct government management. Well at least it shouldn't. We always hear it spoken of in terms of widgets. But when a transaction takes place it is to fundamentally help the individuals taking part in the transaction. These are simple concepts. But today they get lost in our culture.  It is the providing of needs real or perceived by those who freely spend their money with a business that offers that need as a product or service. The business that is awarded that business competes with many other businesses to sell the product to that individual or individual business. That business entity invariably wins or earns that business because they generally provide more value for the money being spent. The money received by that business pays for the activity of that sale, and that portion that it must contribute to maintain the vitality of the business. The beauty of the free market, we all benefit at the lowest cost with the greatest value. This all takes place without the interference of Government. It is only at the protection of government. To the extent that government makes onerous rules, the less the relationship takes place in the peace and tranquility of liberty. As government continues to pursue greater and greater control, the less free the market is. Invariably this creates greater costs to the business, without, typically, or ever increasing the value of the product, the good or service. This undoubtedly increases the business’ costs, and thus the cost of the product to the consumer. When we have increased costs without an increase in value, it increases the drag on the society as a whole. Thus this lack of efficiency only serves to increase inflation, and reduces the standard of living for the average middle class American. We must stand forthright against these government intrusions at all levels. Why? Put quite simply: It will destroy our society.

Today we see this peril. We are seeing it in high unemployment, real earnings stagnation, and the disintegration of our industrial base, and the service based sectors as well, thus, the destruction of all basis of economic output.

These interventions by government, whether they be taxes, or regulation, consistently tend to create shortages, and the shortages cause an increase in cost based on the simple principle of supply and demand. But the Free market is like a living and breathing entity. It finds a way to cope. So it does what is necessary to accommodate the impediments that confront it. It seeks the lowest cost goods and services. This ultimately means that it finds products that are still most affordable that provide the best value. And yet, we could endure these intrusions much more easily in a closed market system. This was before our society had tariff free trade with our neighbors and globally. But now there is less room for ERROR, less room for Government intervention. For every time we create that increase in cost of production without concurrent improvement in value of the product or service or efficiency of delivery of service or production of the product, it makes us tangibly less competitive locally, and globally. We see on certain levels we are insulated for a time, but eventually, even those insulated products and services are either overtaken by competitors from abroad, or worse, the most insulated ones are no longer afforded for the lack of the economic dynamism that will create sufficient income for those who might need our services and products.

We must renew the American Economy. How do we do that? We need to start an EXPERIMENT, not because it is new or novel, but because it is being doubted or forgotten. We need to start a FREE MARKET Zone! An area that is established to allow for the ease of starting a new business. With Low or no Taxes on that said business. Which contradicts the general wisdom of todays political Correctness, and see what happens when you unshackle Commerce. I dare say, we will start a revitalization of the Free Market the likes of which we haven't seen since the beginning of the founding of this country, and the Industrial revolution itself!

And be fully aware, we are speaking of real basic concepts. We eliminate government intervention of taxes and regulation. And at the same time maintain sane environmental policies, ones that protect the land, the water, and the air. This does not mean incorporating Carbon Credit policies into these policies. No, it means simply, not dumping effluent into the streams, or pumping sulfur or nitrogen oxide into the atmosphere.

But it does mean that we create jobs! and Economic Growth. And prosperity for those around us. That we create the standard of living for ourselves and our children that we ourselves had grown accustomed to, but now we see we have lost. We in essence, will be creating anew, the Golden standard, that which we have come to expect, The American Dream!

We don't need big government intervention in any aspect of this experiment. This was an experiment we started many years ago, and back then it worked. It worked tremendously well. We called it the great Experiment back then. IT was called The United States of America, and we became the richest country on the face of the planet. In spite of the fact there was very little interference in the free market by the government. It is time we returned to those fundamental principles of our country!
