A Major Victory for the Constitutional Conservative cause is scored.
A Major Victory for Texas, the Constitutional Conservative cause, Our Nation, and future generations of Americans is scored.
This is an update to an earlier issue that AAP member Laurie Bartlett posted in the Blog column regarding the Texas State Board of Education voting to return their textbooks to the proper, correct and complete teaching of principled, traditional American history as it actually occurred and in turn remove the misleading and skewed liberal slant.
The board did indeed score a major victory for the State of Texas and the Constitutionally Conservative cause by recently voting in favor of this, thus turning back the socialist liberal agenda. This has major implications for the entire Nation not just due to the correction of the content of the school textbooks there, but because Texas is the largest recipient of textbooks in the country. Publishers by and large do not go through the expense of printing separate textbooks for each state. So, the full impact of what this action means is that the “Texas” history books will be the same books to be eventually distributed across much if not all of the entire country.
Below are some of the changes that will be corrected in the new text books:
“Texas schoolchildren will be required to learn that the words "separation of church and state" aren't in the Constitution and evaluate whether the United Nations undermines U.S. sovereignty under new social studies curriculum.”
Teaching of the Judeo-Christian influences on the nation's Founding Fathers.
Require that the U.S. government be referred to as a "constitutional republic" rather than "democratic."

AAP members helped at least in part to bring this about by signing the previously posted petition to support the members of the Texas school board who successfully guided this policy through. Good job everyone.
