I have to tell you what I did today. I think I pushed my luck a little. I live in a townhouse and woods are behind me and a road separates my house from the woods. I saw many pickups going past my house and when I left home I decided to leave a different way and go see where the pickups were going. About 2 blocks up was a field of brocolli with about 15-20 Hispanics working. I got out of my car and had to walk in the mud about 50-60 feet to talk to one of them. I asked for his boss and handed him a flyer. He dialed his boss on the phone and I was allowed to talk to him. I asked him why his workers don't have green cards or visa's and he said they do. I asked who was in charge here and he said $%%&%$# farms which is not far from me a mile or so. I then went to %^&($% farm and talked with owners son.. I asked him why his workers didn't have green cards or visa's. He thought I had asked the Hispanics for them, but didn't, he said they have social security cards and I told him that it was law that they have to carry their green card or visa's. He said they probably forgot them. He also said * how many people forget their drivers license *.lol. I said, in a group of 15-20, probably one or none. I then asked to see his paperwork on them. Rofl. He said he had them in the office but didn't have time to get to it. I asked what kind of forms does he have on them and he said their applications. If he hired them correctly, he would of said I-9's for them. I told him about E-verify that it was free and easy and he was breaking the law and that I could report him now, but for now I'm giving him a warning. About 2-3 hours later before I went home, I stopped at the field and they were all there still. I pretended I was taking pictures of all the pick up trucks and the workers, but I had no film in camera. Rofl. Oh well. the boss on site walked up and said they are legal and have been working for him for years. And he can't get anyone else to work the fields. I told him he is putting many people out of work and also told him about their scams and phony id's I asked what he was paying them and he said minimum wage. He said they work hard for him and I agreed they are hard working but told him the penalties for hiring undocumented workers. He said why don't I go after the people that walk their dogs without a leash. Lol. I answered dogs don't put citizens out of work. He probably got my tag number but it was so hilarious and I said all the right things to them and not one time did they ask me for my ID. i'll go back tomorrow. if they all there, i will report to ice.
