Recent Case of voter fraud in Maryland

On Thursday February 19th I received a letter from the Baltimore City board of elections containing a new voters registration card. I was surprised to receive the letter as I had not updated or changed any of my voters registration information. Upon further examination I was shocked to see that my Political party affiliation had been CHANGED from Republican to democrat. I’ve been a registered voter since I turned 18 and I have NEVER changed my political party (by mistake or otherwise) and I’ve never authorized it to be changed by anyone else.  I took this situation to Facebook to see if it could be a possible scam or if anyone else had dealt with this situation..  I found out a friend of mine has indeed had his party changed WITHOUT authorization.

The following day (February 20th) I contacted the Baltimore city board of elections and spoke with a representative about this situation. She advised me that my party had in fact been updated and that I would be able to come in and receive a copy of the authorization that had to have been received in order for the information to be updated. I traveled to the Office son after (Baltimore Street) And spoke with an agent. I recorded this conversation where I explained what happened and requested the documentation that authorized the change. The rep printed a form she said was sent to the elections board from MVA (Maryland motor vehicle administration ) The document (dated May 2014) showed my (digital) signature and showed an authorization to change my political party (from Republican to democrat). The agent explained that MVA sent this to them and that was the reason it was updated. I strongly advised the agent that I had NEVER requested or authorized this change and explained the ONLY reason I had traveled to the MVA is for a replacement drivers licensee ( my wallet has recently been stolen) and  that nothing had been changed and I was DEFINITELY not advised of any changes to my voters registration information. The agent went on to say I could change it back today and gave me another form ( At that time the agent began to tear up the form she advised was sent over by MVA) I advised the agent that I would need a copy of the form. She was hesitant but decided to give me a copy (the one that she had partially destroyed) and I signed a new form to correct the error.

Upon further review of this situation, I’m convinced there is a serious problem going on between the Maryland motor vehicle administration and the board of elections (specifically in Baltimore city). I know for a FACT I never changed my political party and further more why is it that this “change” was made in May of 2014 but the Baltimore city board of elections didn’t notify my (by sending a new card ) until February 9th 2015 nine months later (well after the election. I want to shed light on this issue, and assure no one else is a victim of what seems to be a case of Fraud. I’ve retained a copy of all documentation for review.
